Andreas "moddii" Fridh has been voted the Most Valuable Player of World Gaming Festival tournament in Montenegro. Fridh topped the All-star lineup vote in both public and expert opinions and deservedly takes the title as the tournament's best player.

For the second time this year, we have conducted a poll after a tournament, whose goal this time was to decide the All-star lineup of WGF, while the player who found himself in the most lineups would be named the MVP of the tournament in Montenegro. The public poll (in the article here) gathered around 2000 opinions, while we also asked players who participated in the tournament for their opinions and gathered 42 of their votes (plus three votes from HLTV.org's staff), which represented the experts in this vote.

Most Valuable Player

The MVP of World Gaming Festival held in Bijelo Polje, Montenegro is Andreas "moddii" Fridh who received by far the most votes from both experts and public.

Fridh rose to fame in late 2009 with Swedish squad of MYM by being one of the team's stars during their second place finish at Global Challenge Dubai and later while winning his first major title at DreamHack Winter that year.

In 2010 Fridh had problems finding a stable environment, as he switched teams often, but that didn't stop him from leaving a mark as he was named 9th best player of 2010 right here on HLTV.org. Coming into 2011, he signed with the Norwegian team alchemists, and in his first international tournament with the team he justified all the expectations and carried them to a €5,000 first prize.

He was statistically by far the best player of the tournament with an incredible 1.52 rating, as he was the best fragger, the hardest to kill and was top rated in 6 of his 9 maps, including each map of the semi-final and the final.

All-star lineup

The overall vote for the All-star lineup produced different results from the public poll and the experts poll. While the public wanted the entire alchemists team in the lineup, the experts only agreed on two of those choices. In the end, the compromise between the votes meant that the fictional lineup will contain three players from the Norwegian team, one from the 2nd placed HEADSHOTBG and one from the 3rd placed ENTiTY.

By far the most frequent choice for the All-star lineup was alchemists' Andreas "moddii" Fridh. He found himself in 95% of the public's and 89% of the experts' lineups and that brought him the MVP title as well.

The only other certain member of the lineup was Karl-William "kalle" Haraldsen, as he was picked by over 60% of both the public and the experts. Haraldsen was statistically only second to his teammate Fridh, with a performance that would likely guarantee him the MVP title at any other tournament.

Another member of the Norwegian team made it into the All-star lineup, and that is Tommy "tacky" Mosgaard. He was the 3rd most picked by the public as a part of every other user's team (52%), but the experts weren't so keen to have him in the lineup as he was only the 8th most picked with 38% of their votes.

The next member of the All-star lineup is the 3rd most frequent choice by the experts, Hristian "shEMETA" Spasov from HEADSHOTBG. His colleagues had him in 60% of their lineups, while the public didn't agree on that by quite a margin, giving him only 19% of their votes (their 11th choice).

The last place in the All-star lineup belongs to the best player from 3rd place finishers ENTiTY - Nemanja "k1Ng0r" Bošković. He was the 5th most picked by the experts (44%) and the most picked by the public after all the alchemists players (32%).
